Royal Mail International Delivery Times - More Specific List

Royal Mail state the following for international delivery:

Delivery to Western Europe within three working days
Delivery to Eastern Europe within five working days
Delivery to the rest of the world within seven working days

In my experience, it is usually close to double this and we're working on providing more specific delivery times to the customer, depending on the country selected on our website i.e Russia and Brazil take much longer than the USA in the post (Airmail).

I'm wondering if anyone has already achieved this though on their website or has a more definitive delivery times list? No doubt the above bold information excludes Custom clearance times but this should be included in the delivery times we provide to our customers.

Thank you

I only really ship post to Europe, for anything else I use Fed Ex but we have with RM had items sent to Malta Cyprus and Greece delivered next day, I find Italy slowest of all the Western Europe and Holland the most likely not to be delivered or even returned.

Baleric and Canary Islands also v.slow sometimes 3+ weeks, some places in Eastern Europe are suprisingly quick. I guess rural areas you have to account for too.

Ive ditched Russia and Netherlands for post, too many variables to go wrong.

The problem with getting a more detailed (or accurate) delivery estimation is that because the final delivery is made usually by the national postal service of the recipient country

for example i've had parcels arrive in the USA 3 days after we posted it via Royal Mail Airsure but on other times i've had them take 2 weeks as they get stuck in the international distribution centre in NY.

Any south american country more often than not we see it takes up to 3-4 weeks :( . Arrives quickly to the country but as soon as it's got to be processed by the in country postal service, that's where the delays come in.
