Remote employment abroad

Hello,

I run an online company as a sole trader and would like employ someone on a contract basis. The contractors I'm thinking of live in Poland and don't have their own registered business. They would do all the work remotely for me.

How can I arrange it so it's all legal? Is there a certain kind of contract I can offer them? I would like to be able to include the amount of money I paid them in my Self Assessment.

Many thanks for any advice.

I guess the easiest way would be if you treated them as self employed and let them pay their own taxes etc in poland.

As for a contract that would depend on what they do and it needs to be customised to your business, without knowing either its not possible to advise you as such ;)

Thanks for your reply.

So I shouldn't be worried whether they have a registered business abroad or not? I'd just need to sign a contract with them for a specific job?

The kind of work I'm talking about is admin work for some of my websites.

Well you should be worried that they can do the work full stop, have you seen any referances, or examples of their work???

Giving someone aboard admin work for your website is a pretty big trust, are you sure you can source anyone from the UK?? where you'll be able to check them out and accquire referances?
