Recommend a decent project management SaaS platform

I'm looking for software to let me plan various projects as my current method of using Microsoft OneNote is becoming harder to maintain. I'd like to have a task list with the time due for each task and which also lets you track tasks from multiple projects in the same task list.

£10 to £15 a month per user would be around my budget.

I think commercially you’re probably looking at Asana or Monday for that kind of money

If you’re a Microsoft 365 user - planner + todo is better for this than Onenote and doesn’t cost anything
Thank you. I do use Microsoft 365. I'll need to look into Planner and Todo. I'll have a look at Asana and Monday as well.

It completely depends on your specific case on which platform would be best for you - there are loads of options out there, almost all of them are within your budget and they can almost all provide task lists with due dates - I didn't get your last point but I'm guessing an overall dashboard showing all tasks from all projects or however you customise it would suffice - again, they can almost all do this.

We've worked with about 20+ project management systems over the past ten years. We've found issues and problems with every single one - but that's specific to our experience and use case.

As the others have said it completely depends on how you are going to be working within the SaaS. If you have been using OneNote you may get on well with Miro, but again this can get a bit messy if you are working on large projects.
My go-to is always ClickUp, it has a lot of customisation as well as lets you host whole documents within each task.

I use Jira. Very good to use as a collaborative tool. It’s quite visual so I find the team update it on a regular basis.

Trick is to set it up correctly. Once that’s done it works really well.

Trello is also good. Not as functionally rich but I’d try that out first if you are not comfortable with setting up Jira.

Thank you. I signed up for the free plan of ClickUp and like it. I think I'll subscribe to it as it fits my use case.

it could be a scale thing, but we have used google sheet (moving from ms project), sometimes our PMs spend more time in the software than actually looking after the project with real people. I guess i am old fashion but i find just talking to the team or customer team is a more effective way to manage projects.

take for example if we were to deliver some design documents milestones by end of next month, i would expect my pm to find the customer that this is still their expectation, then have the pm check our team if we can still deliver what customer expects and on time, have the pm do a bi-weekly one pager report to the execs highlighting any risks and so on.
