Quick Newbie Question - do I only get one shot at Editing a new post ?

Title says it all really: I've just joined / placed a first post: spotted some typos and popped back in via edit to fix those.

Just spotted one or two more -- but NO LONGER seem to have edit access ?? Post is about 55mins old.

I'm presuming this is "finger trouble" my end, or is it intended to work that way ?

I believe the right to edit is time limited - 10 minutes? The problem with a longer right to edit is that some posters change the meaning or contant of their post. So a response may be 'I don't understand this that and the other' and the OP responds by amending the original to cover this that and the other, making the response look crass.
