I usually file just balance sheet at companies house and then the full set of accounts with the CT 600 at HMRC i.e. 2 separate filings. This time I selected to file CH and CT600 in single filing. Am I right in assuming that it will post only the Balance Sheet to CH and not include the Profit and Loss too. I dont wish to show the P&L at CH

I would have thought the answer to your question would be provided by referring to the software provider in question. Is there an option to select Micro Entity Accounts for the CH submission? If yes, then I would have thought CH would then be sent only Balance Sheet. You may wish to check with the software what HMRC then would receive in that scenario.

Accidently ticked submit to both and didn't want to go through the exercise of just selecting HMRC and enter all the figures again if it will only post Balance sheet by keeping as is. Was thinking maybe before submitting to HMRC I submit to CH the balance sheet.

Most, if not all, accountants will use accounts and tax filing software when filing at Companies House and HMRC - we certainly do. So we’ve no idea how the free stuff works. If it’s already filed you can check what is shown on your company record at Companies House via https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/
