My team is lately doing many simple websites regarding to same products in different language like english, spanish, russian, dutch and german. Could anyone tell me if this really works for increasing our sales? Wondering...

Yes & No. If you just translate your website you get nothing. If you start marketing your products in these countries you can grow rapidly.

I have been told that it is better to have a separate site for different countries (instead of just offering multiple languages). This is because UK websites tend to have a different feel to other countries.

localisation is much more than translating a page. products may need to be re-shot with different models. Some cultures may require different template colours or a different sales approach. You will need localised contact details etc, etc.

Thanks for your notice. Sorry for leading you wrongly. Our pages are the same template, but in different languuages with seperate domain name in respective countries. Eg, russia in russian has its own russian domain name. spain in spainish has other one.

Thanks a lot. i think localisation really matters. Our team is using the same template and the same content. Need to do some changes.

I'd like to add that it's necessary to do local research and marketing as well - and this includes everything, from local payment systems and search engines (for Russia, Yandex and WebMoney are good examples) to taking part in local forums and communities. That's what may really work for you. The question is how to find a specialist capable for this, and how much investments you may need...

Thanks very much for your suggestion. Our investments are not enough to hire any specialist for that. So our web page is lack of the ability to adept to local market. Yet will try. Thanks again for advice.
