Firstly this is my forst post on this forum so let me take this opportunity to say hello
Now to my question...
I've just taken delivery of the BCIS comprehensive building price book.
just been having a quick look and although it gives labour as well as material rates and costs as a national average, it doesn't give a percentage breakdown as a guide as to what to pay employees/subbies
I was told by a QS last summer that the average is 70% of the labour cost per unit, but all the units are also given as net price, so would i add VAT onto these units (inc lab units)?
As for working out a price sheet for employees/subbies would i just work out the prices as £p/h divided by man hours per unit or stick with the 70% as i was told?
One more thing, the books come with a download which has a stand alone license key, if i changed computers would i lose the download?
Cheers.
