hello,
I am hoping to start up an internet business. Could anyone please help me by suggesting a website creating software that is affordable and easy? please help i will be very greatful.

If you are just starting out, and have already designed your site in terms of how you want to present your offer etc, then you are ready for the software. You may want to look at using a templated solution though rather than investing in web design software and starting from scratch.

You can of course use web design software to modify templates but if you choose the right templates (and template system) in the first place, you may be able to avoid this. Most make it easy to change basic layouts, edit content, modify colour scheme etc.

A bit of googling should give you plenty of candidates.

Also (if you are proposing a store type of offering) look at the thread on shopping cart software as some of these may give you all you need. An example I have recent experience of is Lite Commerce.

It really does depend on your requirements and your skill level. It may even be a better (and cheaper) decision to commission someone else to build your website for you.

Depending on what you want doing we are offering decent prices on website design at the moment and am sure we come to a deal other than that I recommend dreamweaver and notepad.

Though I suggest you learn html as it is easier in the long run when you have an understanding of the code.

I use HTML Kit, it's free has lots of useful functionality. The only downside is that it's not WYSIWIG editor so you need to know (X)HTML and CSS so it's not for everyone...but for a code talking geek like me it's perfect :)

HTML kit can be found at http://www.chami.com/html-kit/

However, impressions count so you may want to get proffessional help. it also frees you up to concentrate on other aspects of your business.

Hi,

If you trawl through the foums that are around you will often find new designers offering free site design to add to their portfolios. If you do not need anything to sophisticated then you should be able to get something quite good that you can add to using macromedia contribute or similar.
