Hi All
I have come up with a business idea that I am looking to start here in Switzerland however I would like some feedback/legal advice on the issue. I know Switzerland has their own laws and it is a little more relaxed than in the UK but if I could have a foundation to work on then I could tackle all those possible legal issues here.
My idea is to start and English speaking playgroup within the area of Rapperswil (near Zürich). The ages for the playgroup would be from 1 5 years old. I am not going to be teaching them any grammar etc as I dont have any teachers training or qualifications but the playgroup would simply be a place where parents bring their children to play and I would only speak to them in English. This gives the babies and young kids a chance to get to know certain words and phrases. I would be telling them things like This car is Yellow or I have three green apples etc. If the child then needs something I would help them to ask me in English. This is I think an important start and introduction into the English language. The playgroup would be for two hours twice a week and I also want to make it as cheap as possible for the parents. Therefore the payment of the venue would be from a sponsor. For example, I would contact lets say Toys R Us and ask them to pay for the venue in return for a large banner displayed in a prominent area of the venue etc. Then I could make the price for attendance around 10chf (£5) per child per hour.
I would ideally be playing with a group of 10 kids in total. Then if the class gets bigger I would bring in another english speaking adult to take control of the next 10 children etc. The money that is raised for the 10 kids would go to that person but they pay me 10% of what they earn as I will ideally be doing the books etc.
I also would like to draw up a contract so that anyone that joins me cannot leave and start their own playgroup or be affiliated with anyone other playgroup for at least a year.
Can you please tell me first of all if you think this is a good idea and also give advice on certan legal issues I need to be aware of.
Cheers
Chris
