Personal software for business use

Hi,

I am currently in the process of setting up a dormant company and while the company is dormant I am developing software during my spare time that will ultimately form the basis of the company.

I need to buy some development tools, but these would be bought by myself using my own money. Would I be right in thinking that this would have nothing to do with the company?

I believe this is the case, but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks

If the company is dormant then its conducting no business activities, no purchases, no sales, no trade/development or anything.

Essentially what you are doing is registering a dormant company and persuing a hobby at your own expense.
