Payroll problems !

Hi guys,

I have just started my own Leaflet distribution company.
I am new to the hole payroll thing.
Most of my employees will be erning no more than £50 per week.

Will i need to deduct taxes on this amount?

It depends on each employee's individual circumstances. Eg, if Mrs A works in Tesco part time, and then gets £50 a week from you on top, you have to deduct 20% tax at source, pay her £40 and give £10 to HMRC on her behalf.
There will be no NI deducted on an amount this low.

If you are employing people, take some professional advice, and make sure you do it properly.

We use paybureau to run our payroll.

£15 plus vat for monthly payroll, £10 per pay run (weekly/two weekly etc) for up to 5 people then £2

That includes everything, it might be worth you talking to them.
