Parcel2Go Problems

Hi Everyone,

Just wondered if anyone else had had any problems with Parcel2go delivery service?

We sent out a parcel at the beginning of Dec which was damaged en-route. After filing a claim, they then said they have no record of receiving the documents. I e-mailed copies to them and now can't get a reply out of them for love nor money. Not exactly the best start. We run a relatively new e-commerec site and are currently looking for a reliable delivery firm. This one certainly isn't and I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar problems with them or if you had any recommendations.

Cheers and all the best for Christmas & the New Year.
Andrew.

Similar situation, parcel2go delivered a laptop (they used dhl) and the courier let it fall out of the van onto the pavement. (Caught it on cctv) Laptop didnt work after that...

Sent in a claim form, along with a dvd of the cctv footage, via recorded delivery - they got it, I have proof.

Never heard a thing back from them and that was months ago.

Useless.....

This is a very common problem with parcel2go, they loose the paperwork all the time.

I know of someone that had to use small claims to get the money back for a dell server they sent.

This one didn't get damaged but lost!
Send paperwork via parcel to go......
then if they dont recive it complain and get money back and send it again keep costing them

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like I'm not alone in these problems.

Parcels2go have finally got back to me this morning with what seems to be a standard reply e-mail stating that my claim has been resolved. Great I thought, but then it says resolved by being refused.

I've fired an e-mail back asking why but don't expect to hear much. Maybe I'll refer it to Trading Standards given their record.

Cheers,
Andrew.

Wow...that surprises me, we've been using them for ages with absolutely no problems - touch wood- and we send delicate hand made chess sets via them, they have always sorted out any issues same day usually within the hour and I would have no problem recommending them...Wonder if there is a regional issue? are you guys all up North? Midlands service is fine.

There does seem to be massive variation with some people enjoying hassle free service and some, like ourselves having nothing but hassle.

They now seem to be ignoring me as they have with others who have had problems. I did a Google search as suggested and found loads of people complaining, but only a few recommending them.

If the problems are mainly 'up north' then they are shooting theirselves in the foot being as they are based in Bolton. Great local service.

I'm referring our problem to Trading Standards today as I've had no joy with their extremely slow customer service dept who only ever seem to send out standard e-mail blurb.

Guess I'll just stick with good old Royal Mail then unless anyone knows a better setup?

Thanks for all the responses.
Andrew.

May want to try ANC... they offer a "non-account" option whereby there's no minimum number of consignments per month.

We've got an account with them and have found them really good! Nothing lost yet and support when something was delayed was really good, you always speak to your local office rather than a big call center so you often get the same person which is nice.

Hope that helps!

i opened an american address account with parcel2go and it is about to ruin my life.

i order some goods that was delivered to the american address.it took me over 3month to get the item to get here so far.

firstly they asked me to pay £900 for 58kg parcel and later reduced it to £700.they sent me a DHL payment link showing that the items will come through DHL. NEXT day,i asked for tracking number and i received a number bearing airfrance.
then i realized that,i have been deceived because through airfrance cargo,it must have cost them less then £300.i tracked the good and it shows that item will be here 1 april,2010.i called parcel2go on 1st april, and they said, item was re-routed by mistake to houston and that the item will be in london 7th april instead.7th april ,i called and asked for the number of the clearing company.i called the clearing company here, and clearing company wouldnt release goods because parcel2go and their american counterparts are oweing the company some money previously.

please advice

I've used them for a while without an issue.

One thing to remember is they don't handle parcels the couriers do, some people associate Parcel2Go with damaged/lost deliveries when this is clearly the couriers fault and wouldn't make a difference who you booked it with.

Obviously the whole point of a courier is that parcels are tracked and insured, so if an item doesn't arrive how can they refuse a refund?

For me they offer a service the Royal Mail can't come close to, but then I send a lot of larger boxes 15-20Kg that aren't massively valued.

Another option if you send boxes may be parcelsplease, I think they use UPS.

They did used to be very cheap but their prices seems to have shot up - maybe the real and often hidden costs have started kicking in and so they have had to up their prices.

Or maybe it is to pay for all those pretty untargeted google ads I keep on seeing everywhere

Hi guys,

Just thought I would give you our take on Parcel2Go. We have been using them on and off over the last two years and I have to say there customer service is excellent. We have sent literally hundreds of parcels with them and not one has got lost.

They have live chat available from 7AM until 11PM every day which is exceedingly useful and generally your questions will be answered in just a few minutes when using this service. In addition, when sending 10 parcels plus using their multi services they even volunteered without asking to refund me the £10 booking fee.

Anyway, just thought I would give you our take on them and I would definitely recommend them in a heart-beat. Much cheaper and easier then dealing with the post office! Have a great weekend.

We've used P2G on and off for the past 5 years. We stopped using them because communications were very poor when something went wrong with a delivery.

We've started using them again recently and i have to give credit where it's due - they've certainly turned things around. The improved 'LIVE HELP' chat window on their website is especially helpfull. It may be worth a second look IMO.
