P35 and P14

If you registered as an employer you will receive these forms.

If you are not paying wages / salaries then your P35 will consist of all zero entries.

Subsequently your P60/P14's will consist of zero entries for each employee that your have told HMRC are working for you.

I came on this forum to ask a similar question. I am also wanting to fill out these forms but my company is trading (limited company). I have no employees other than myself and I pay the standard £2 NI fee every week. I do not pay myself a set wage but just withdraw what I need when I need it and obviously keep track of what i pay myself. Do I just put £104 for the total NICs on form P35 or do I put £0? I didn't think I needed to fill these out with working for myself.

    Hi Toon

As the director/shareholder of a limited company you are employed by your limited company. The £2 per week you’re referring to is payable by the self employed in unincorporated businesses.

Unless you have a healthy credit balance on a director’s loan account you should have been accounting for tax and NI on the payments that you’ve been making to yourself.

    Regards
