I have a UK Ltd company, and would like to expand by business overseas. Would I need to set up a Ltd company in each of the countries that I intend to trade in, or could I just setup a branch of my UK ltd company?
It all depends on the needs of the business and the perception of the market in each country. (Many people are more comfortable dealing with a company registered in the same country)
If you had a UK company (123 ltd), and you set up a branch of 123 ltd in Canada for example, does this prevent anyone in Canada from using the name 123 ltd?
