hello everyone.
first a little about myself:
i am 22 years old and originally from N.I. i moved to Scotland almost 10 years ago as my family had purchased a business here.
i have found that chip shops here are really different here than they are in N.I. in my opinion (no offense to anyone), they are not as good as they are back in N.I. this means that i tend to go to McDonalds or get a Chinese if i want fast food. however when i go back to N.I, which i do 4 or 5 times a year. i basically eat in chippies all week because they are amazing in my opinion lol.
anyway, after thinking about opening a chippy for a few years, finally a small local takeaway has came up for rent. it is fully ready to go, the only chip shop in the town and has low rent.
my plan would be to be different from all the local chipshops and use the N.I style of cooking (whatever makes the food taste different im not quite sure yet lol).
i really think that if the locals got a to taste the difference, that this could really take off.
however being my first business im not sure where to go from here:
contact the person that owns the premises,
find suppliers,
staff,
etc etc.
any advice would be great.
Thanks
Jonathan
