Open shop for pre book appointments

Hi

Do anyone know if you can open your shop for pre book appointments during November when you meant to be closed? I have seen other shops offering this but can not find any info on it.

I thought that if you're a non-essential shop, you're only able to offer click and collect. So I can't see how you would be allowed to offer pre-booked appointments as then you'd effectively be open to the public, just on an appointment basis.

I beleive you can allow 'appointments' for customers to collect items ordered and paid for. I can't see how that could work for a furniture shop?

I own a non-essential gift shop, looking at government website you can offer click and collect, which we were not allowed in the first lockdown, but items must be ordered either online or telephone and paid for before collecting. I don't think customers are allowed on the premises, they can collect from door or loading area. What i am not sure about is whether operating like this will affect any grants.

I was discussing something similar with a customer the other day. Pre-payment is mandatory and the goods are picked from the loading area directly

carpet right are doing it, smyths toy stores are open, im im in similar position we arfe now doing appointments only and if anyone ask was clixk and collect simples
