Hi fellow agency owners or freelance developers!
I'm wondering how and what systems you use to track project time/budget, staff clocking (in office and on project) and client billing/credit?
I've been a member on UKBF for many, many years and have in that developed from a freelancer into an agency, had a nice big office, got rid of it in covid and everything is now remote. In that time we've built, over the years, a pretty decent back office system for managing our client enrolment, project booking, staff clocking, client billing.
Currently we're just about to launch our new version which includes online document signing and some really good integration with Jira among other cool features.
I think it's really too good just to keep to ourselves and so I'm looking to potentially release it as a product/SAAS.
What I'm looking for from you guys and girls are a 1 or 2 volunteers who can beta test this in return for a free lifetime licence, we'd only charge you hosting costs which will be very minimal as it's all pretty lightweight and inherently low traffic as its back office only.
Our system is not a project management system or issue tracker - we decided to use Jira for this which is great and is free for up to 10 users. We tend to spin up a Jira instance for each client which means that we never have any issues with the 10 user limit.
