Is anyone a part of or know of any offline community / networking group (eg. Klenzee, Avon etc etc) of like minded people doing imports and exports. I am specifically looking around London region. Would also be interested outside London.

Do you all think a concept like this will work for exchanging ideas and probably increasing knowledge base and increasing contacts for future business?

Nope. Really what you are looking for is for somewhere or someone to give a novice the knowledge that only experience and hard work can provide. Sorry!

I appreciate your contribution to this forum and the number of thanks you have got.

Out here in the original posting - It is not about if someone somewhere is ready to give a novice a knowledge. May I please ask you to read the OP again and read with a broader outlook... I have used the word "Networking"/"Community".. Try Google "Advantage of Networking" and you will have the answer.

Had everyone had the outlook that you demonstrated, then there wouldn't be any successful companies like Kleenzee, Avon, Tupperware whose business models are based on Networking.

It not about competition but achieving success togather....But well in this world, I know there are people whose thinking is like a "frog in a well".

Sorry, but I thought to mention my point here...

Thank you for your feedback Darshan. It was helpful. As you requested, I have read your first post again. To remind you, the question you asked was:-

"Do you all think a concept like this will work for exchanging ideas and probably increasing knowledge base and increasing contacts for future business?"

    My answer was :-

"Nope. Really what you are looking for is for somewhere or someone to give a novice the knowledge that only experience and hard work can provide. Sorry!"

You might not like it, well clearly you do not, but it answers your question.

What does thinking like 'frog in a well' mean?

Thanks Graeme for replying to my post. Well I think we both are thinking from different perspective and hence might not agree on one common point. "Growing and Prospering togather " vs " Avoid competition"
Eveyone has his or her own views.
If one think that by not sharing knowledge will avoid competition then you are wrong. If not me than some one else will compete !
One more on this - "A person cannot get ANY MORE or ANY LESS (financially or anything ) than what he is destined to" - again you will not agree:).
Everyone makes efforts and work hard to achieve success. If someone has learnt the hard way doesn't mean everyone has to learn the hard way!
    Have a good one!
