From 7th of November, no individuals will be allowed outdoors due to the spread of a virulent strain of H5Nx. The penalty for violating this lockdown is death.

Fortunately, it only applies to birds, including turkeys. Farmers are having to choose between bringing their birds in, or slaughtering them early.

If you like turkey, then you're mad. And you will also need to get your Christmas turkey order early.

The Government itself will be fine. It's stuffed full of turkeys.

Bob That was worse around here than the Pandemic. In the Pandemic you stayed in and watch Netflix . With F&T you had to keep dipping your boots in a chemical dip.
There are more houses and less farming near my house now so it would not be the same

I totally agree. Covid was a 'Walk in the Park,' by comparison. I was about 10 during the 1967 outbreak and lived (then) near Wem in Shropshire. A long walk to school each day, and countless Boot Dips to walk through.

We had it again about 25 years ago here it was actually brought into the UK by a Devon sheep broker of all people! This was straight after years of BSE
Who would be into farming unless you were really into sheep

Scientists are quite happy to vaccinate us repeatedly yet will not vaccinate Bird Flu and Foot and Mouth, the reasoning being that a vaccinated animal will show positive reaction in the future and they will be unable to determine an infection or a vaccinated animal.
At home we vaccinated against F&M and tattooed the animals ear at the same time. (Did not have Bird Flu)

A farmer friend of mine always joked, ". . make sure eggs have some sh1t on them, you can then call them 'Organic,' and double the price!"
