I need to come up with a large number of words and phrases. I have been going at this for some time and have got to the point that I am repeating myself. I have come up with a few for each section but there is room for alot more. The website is called www.needhelpmovingabroad.com I think you can guess what we offer via the title.

The Sections are as follows.
Foreign Currency
Property Finder
Mortgage / Finance
Solicitors
Surveyors
International Removals
House Insurance
Tax Optimisation
Storage
Shipping

I have been working with Rob form top-click on this and he has helped no end. I have also been using the tools provided buy overture but they seem very American.

Rob has said the following.

“For a business with your aspirations we would normally aim for about 15,000 words and phrases, under 10 AdGroups with 25 creatives [to maintain volumes at low cost]. Tey and develop them out - if you get the chance, brainstorm words as though you were a potential cusytomer of yours, then, use plurals, misspellings etc.

Each word group needs its own creative - a key here is that each creative should inclusde the keyword. E.g you have Property as a group - mainly moving or investing - so these need to be broken into 2 sub groups, have 2 creatives each, and expanded with words like move abroad and investment in Spain.”

So if you can come up with anything please let me know via a post or email [email protected]

Hi Mat,

My first advice is use a pro BUT if you really want to run your own adwords campaign and 'get under the bonnet and get your hands dirty' then why not try the following site.. http://www.adwordmentor.com/

They claim to have Adwords cracked BUT the product is an ongoing investment and so is the time you have to invest in the adwords so you've got to be in it for the long haul. I prefer to be out of adwords for the long haul as when I tried it on my own I lost over £600!

I saw at the bottom of the page they do a 3 day trial for $3 so it's a relatively safe way of dipping your toe in...

Hope this helps,

Edited For Spellings

I also use Rob at Top-Click and have left it to him, however, being on a small budget myself, we have started with a small campaign using just few keywords. Would that not be an option for yourself and alot easier and cheaper to set up in the beginning and then gradually build the campaign to include other keywords/phrases, particularly as you have so many to choose from?

It is not always wise to go out guns blazing!

Good results from AdWords takes a lot of time and continuous monitoring and adjustment. The keywords are only a part of it - the ads themselves and how they relate to the keywords people are searching for are equally important. The biggest (and most expensive) mistake most people make is to create one ad for 20 or so different keywords - you're not going to get much from that, apart from hefty bills. I would advise spending a lot of time reading PPC forums and use the advice you find there.

You do need to weigh up the time costs compared to the cost of hiring someone who already knows all of this - sometimes it actually works out cheaper to get someone in than it is to do it yourself!
