You site looks good on the whole. I would fill out the left hand side abit more though. You could possibly put the categories in your header on the left hand side to start with. Images are important so could be improved upon and try to find other suppliers to expand your range.

The lingerie market is very competitive so customers have lots of choice but keep at it and don't give up. Good luck with everything anyway.

I would agree, fill out the left hand side - insert categories there
At the mo the site is too basic and as we discussed earlier the images definitely need to improved. I would also recommend some basic seo on the site as well.

Keep your chin up, don't take anything anybody says on the forum personally, we are all here to help and this constructive criticism will be good for your business and site.

Apart from what has already been mentioned I would say that the biggest barrier that you have is lack of trust to be honest with you. I am not saying its not there but try as I might I can find no physical address whatsoever so where do I go if you run off with my money? Your contact us page is a simple anonymous form that could go anywhere....central London, Malaysia, or the trash bin...who knows? I want to phone you....oops, I can't ....NO phone number! An about us page that is sadly lacking in content, no business registration details at all and images that are massively too high in resolution for website use so that your pages all load incredibly slowly....ask yourself the question....would you buy from you? It's all easily addressed but, for me, trust is the key, without it you're a dead duck!

100% spot on Andy. Also your terms and conditions, refund policies, customer care numbers. First time I buy off of a site I always phone.

register on our website, it just passed beta stage and allows you to advertise to sme's all over the uk, the more members we have the bigger the chance you'll get business from our traffic, it is 100% free to all businesses, and we provide special offers to other UK businesses meaning your offer can be viewed from around good old blighty. we are undergoing a revamp so the directory side has been removed at present but will be up and running again near end of june.

The whole point of this is that as the OP openly admits that she paid a £1,000 for her stock. A more esperienced buyer however would have paid about £50 quid for ex catalogue returns.

Like it or not that is how much her stock is worth max. How can you expect to make living out of that sort of £50 quid investment and even then it is boring. She would be far better off getting good quality graphics from wholeaslers and getting into drop shipping. In other words have no stock on hand at all.

Hi everyone,

my website has been going for a while as some of you will know but I am having alot of trouble getting sales online. I sell lingerie for women in smaller sizes.

I have done the following to increase traffic:

- Facebook page
- Twitter
- Bebo
- Flyers
- Gumtree ads
- Facebook ads
- Having stalls at fashion fairs
- newsletters
- press releases to lingerie blogs etc

I am getting hits but not any sales, I really need sales as I am badly struggling with money at the moment and need some help.

please can you suggest anything to help with getting sales

Thank you

You need to install Google analytics to find out more about where your traffic comes from and how long visitors are staying on the site for. This can tell you whether or not the traffic you are getting is the right kind of traffic - ie. potential customers looking to buy your product. Let me know your website details, I will have a look and then give you some advice on converting your website visitors. Just a few alterations to a website can make a huge difference!
