Marketing Samurai - Not what it used to be.

We have been using Marketing samarui for approx 18 months thanks to the recomendations we got from this forum, (So thanks).

It was an excellent tool and I was able to get a clear picture of all the back links I had created, where they came from and the page rank of the originating page. I was also able to look at the same information for other competative websites too.

But now the user experiance and information has changed dramatically and I am not getting the info that I need, even with subscribing to their extra reporting packages.

Are there any alternatives out there that I should consider moving too? What have other users fo Marketing Samarui done since the changes?

I've been using Rank Tracker for (surprise) tracking search engine rankings and SEO Spyglass for backlink checking - they are both part of SEO Powersuite.

As far as I'm concerned, these 2 are the Rolls Royce apps in their field - i know many other SEO geeks who feel the same way. The other 2 apps in the suite aren't so hot imho.

Just beware of the somewhat hidden forced upgrade 'live plan' which makes the Pro and Enterprise editions stop working if you don't pay - it's worth the money, but can be a bit of a surprise as it's not clearly mentioned at the point of sale.

MajesticSEO is also top notch for backlink checking.

MajesticSEO is now linked into marketing Samarui and it this that I am not getting what I want. Should I be able to see this stuff or is it user error?

i use rank tracker from powersuite every single day, very nice and accurate,worth the money. majestic is great too though pricier. if you have money majestic is great but for my budget seospyglass works well for backlink research. used websiteauditor a couple times and linkassistant tool only once ))
