    Hi All,

I am looking for someone I can have a chat with in regards to patents/design rights, something which I've only ever really been involved with from a distance and have limited understanding of. There are some things around patent renewal/expiry as well as patent searches I would like to understand and confirm beyond what Google tells me! Moving forward there is then potential to be patenting some of our own designs which we would need further assistance with.

I'm looking for any recommendations for a person/firm that I can perhaps have a first exploratory call with (happy to pay, of course) to clarify some areas and then work with moving forward as required on this project. I do generally prefer in this kind of instance to work with smaller firms and a more personal touch - we use Eversheds for example for a lot of our legal stuff and they are great but also huge and that shows when trying to deal with them! They could handle this but I'm looking for a little more of a personal touch, to be honest.

Would like to add, without being particularly derogatory to some of the random/new posts we see on here, this genuinely isn't a pie in the sky "I've got dis reali kewl idea and want to patent it n go on dragons den" thing, this relates to existing business and a potential large amount of business moving forward, for which we need to get our ducks in a row.

Any recommendations from the UKBF fold would be welcome!
