I work for a company that make bespoke equipment for the entertainment industry. We have an issue where due to the made to order goods we sell, logistics seem to be offering far too many options for the sales department. They are also forever waiting for weights and dims of pallets as our ERP system is currently not automated to help with carriage. I would like to get to a place where either our ERP system can work with us and input the costs or at the very least sales can quickly type it in for the quote. If anyone has been in this situation or indeed, something like it, looking for advice and dialogue on this. I’m going to focus on our fedex parcel shipment throughout the Uk first
