Hi Guys

I picked up my Iphone4 yesterday and now having problems with Itunes.
I hav backed up/ sync'd my old 3gs and then plugged in my iphone4 and itunes added everything perfectly apart from the music. I have set the music to manage manually but itunes will not allow my to copy the music onto my iphone.

I have also tried syncing the entire music collection but itunes only copied 3 albums out of 20 albums and refused to copy the rest.

Can anyone help please.

Cheers

I got my iphone 4 about 3 days after launch and had some problems getting it to synch with my old data.

When I plugged in my old 3G, it always says it backs it up, but it seems to selectively avoid certain bits of information, including a number of recent contacts.

When you first connect iphone 4 to itunes, there's quite a lot of data to be downloaded online into itunes and then squirted into the iphone4, and so expect to have to reboot the phone and ask it to resynch several time. I found if I touched itunes or the new phone (which I clearly wanted to fiddle with) during the sych process, it all stopped and I had to start from scratch! In the end I made it with all music, pictures etc in tact, but I did lose some contacts, maybe 20 out of 500.

itunes clearly is fallible in the back up department, but its still better than any other phone I've had.

If you are having real problems, Apple Shops/Stores (you can find them listed on the Apple website) have real (local not national) phone numbers, with what appears to be trained, courteous people managing them who if you ask will normally offer telephone support for minor problems (i don't think thats in their job spec though). You can also take your phone in and they will help, but thats not much good if your away from the data source (i.e. itunes) if its not on a laptop. Good luck!
