Hi everyone just wondering if anybody can help me out it will be first time when I will import goods from china. The goods are alloy wheels , I have found supplier and is genuine somebody I know lives in Ningbo and he went to the factory and is all good.
Quotation for this order is 80 PC's x 58 dollars seller is responsible for shipping and I have been told that 80x50usd is everything I need to pay.
I'm register as sole trader my question is can sole trader import goods from china or it must be limited company, I don't have company bank account reason my business is very small and my earnings where very limited can I use my personal account I'm with Barclays to do TT and later pay all customs Etc . I know commodity code also i have done resarche and does goods are liable for 4.5 % duty and 17.5% tax so according to my calculation i could make profit.
One thing I'm not to sure what happen when goods arrive in to UK port it will be Felixtove if any one will let me know they are there and what to do next can i do custom clearance my self or i should get in touch with some kind of agent .
Thing looks easy from china side they will take care of shipment loading etc I'm just not sure ho things runs in UK .
I would much appriecate any advice
