Hi there,

My name is Jamie and as a hobby i've been designing and developing websites for the past 6 years. I'm 20 years old and Web development is something i really want to get into as a full time job but with so many young experienced developers in the Bristol area it's obviously really hard to get into without the required qualifications.

I'm looking for an opportunity to work for a web development company full time (Monday - Friday) for about 3 months unpaid just so i have experience on my CV which will hopefully give me a better chance when applying for trainee development positions in the future - and getting a good reference at the end would be very beneficial.

My strengths

- Very motivated
- I can work on my own as and when needed
- I can handle being under pressure very well and have done in previous jobs
- I've got really good time keeping skills
- I love web development so you can guarantee i'm willing to learn
- Good at working to tight deadlines
- Very friendly and polite with a good sense of humour

My weaknesses

- I have no experience working for a web development company

My experience

- xHTML
- CSS
- A little PHP experience
- Web design (Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator)
- Content Creation
- Affiliate Marketing
- PPC

Most skills are basic but with a little bit of teaching and experience working within a company i know i can achieve great results. If this is something that interests your company please get in touch so we can discuss things further and if you want my CV please email me.

If anyone has any suggestions on any web development companies who do recruit trainees that would be very helpful!

Thank you,
Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Not sure if this helps but our parish council has set up a website and we are using local student at college to maintain/update it. I am sure if you check local groups, parish councils, villages, charities then you will be welcomed with open arms. It could give you some great experience and will look good on a cv! good luck :)
