Idiots guide to Instagram?

Been on Instagram just over a year. Only 700+ followers but I ruthlessly cull any freeloaders trying to sell stuff so it's a pretty lean list.

I've put some hashtags on some posts but only just started tagging images which it seems is us sending a potential customer/interested party a message?

The recommendations I've seen is something like 5-10 tags and or hashtags. Is there a quick way to add to every upload?

The hashtags have to be relevant to the post/image/video - so there's not really much point in adding the same tags to every post every time. If you want to do this, just add them to Notepad and copy and paste when scheduling your posts but, I don't think it will do very much.

Instagram is very hot on building a following, it doesn't seem to work if you just upload pictures everyday and put 10 hashtags on. Followers have to actually like and comment your posts, then it increases your reach and following. Instagram is social, it's not designed for selling.

You also have to make sure you're tagging your products, so they link to your website. If anyone is interested, they can buy from the post. You can also connect your catalogue now, so people can shop within the Instagram app itself.
