HTML on Actinic

Does anyone know if it is possible to add chunks of HTML to Actinic? I want to add a Bookmark This Site button and also a Newsletter sign up box, amongst other goodies and cannot work out how to add this.

On Frontpage, I just viewed the site my old site as HTML and dropped the code in where I wanted it to appear and then when I viewed it normally it looked good. I cannot find a way of doing this with Actinic.

You can add html into sections like product description by using <-- htnl code --> . Something like that I think. Maybe you could create a fragment or something?
