How to get people to submit articles for publication?

I run a website for a select target audience which has recently been designed and re-launched. One of its aims is to inform my audience on business issues and empoyment issues relating to that industry.

I receive the trade journals with articles submitted by others in the industry and businesses, however, how can I get the types of those people and businesses to submit articles to my website for publication? At the moment the site has low visits as I need the content to attract the visits.

Do you pay for articles or offer a revenue share for published content? If you're looking for quality writing, I'd suggest that you offer some incentive. If you're just looking for free press releases from businesses, then there are plenty of PR people you can approach.

If you post a link to your site, then people will look and see the existing content and decide if they would like to contribute. I would guess most businesses would be interested in increasing their own exposure and yours too.

I dont pay for the articles, I do offer free advertisements and, if appropriate, a link in the directory.

The website is targeted to towards the UK Dental practice management professionals, the key buying and decision makers within the UK dental market.

Like any business a dental practice needs to make a make money to cover the very large expenditure to run a successful and efficient dental practice, and to make a profit.

And like any other business they have their problems.
