Hi,

I'm new to London and relatively new to networking at events. I was wondering if I could get advice/lists/info on how to find Business Networking events happening in the near future around London.

Thanks in advance.

There might be mailing lists or event calendars if you check out the trade websites/mags for your industry. Then there are organisations that have that have networking events going on on an ongoing basis e.g. chambers of commerce, BNI, although you often have to pay for those and BNI requires dedication.

Some useful sites are (I'm not allowed to post URLs yet): MeetUp.com and Events365.

Good luck! :)

If you look on the Business Link London site it has a list of networking events and it's own courses which can be useful and good networking opportunities. You can also check with your local Chamber of Commerce, council economic development/business unit etc. And of course Google.:)

Another thought - rather than looking for events, because the ones that Business Link know about are a tiny percentage, look for the kind of people who would organise or go to events; namely PR people. Find PR agencies, call them up, ask them if they organise or go to any events. The general principle is that if you can't find the waterhole, follow the footprints.

easier than that, meetup.com have members who organise networking events for a whole host of people. have been to a few in Manchester and whilst they are slightly more relaxed than other events there definately worth it, and fun. Alot seem to be for those working within digital media but that depends on the city i suppose.
