help with getting my website started please

hi all, im looking to create a business sales website.
I have bought my .co.uk domain from 123-reg for 2 years and i know i will also have to pay hosting per month.
Im looking to use prestoshop but what do i need to do to link this to my domain?
And does anyone recommend someone to host for me?

Im just not sure where to get started.

Yes you need hosting (we can do hosting for you, although there are PLENTY of others on this forum also).

Then simply point your domain by changing the nameservers to the hosting account.

If you need any advice, just drop me a PM/email.

thankyou for your swift reply, okay thanks and yeah, i origionally had a guy offering hosting for me and he would also help me out with the website but have to wait see if he replies to me as he hasn't yet.
How much would your hosting be btw?
And how do i point my domain to the hosting account.
Also how do i link this with if i am going to design my website on prestoshop

You'll have to access your account with 123-reg. Log into the control panel, and click "manage name servers".

When you have a host, they will give you 2 name servers to enter. Put these in and wait a day or so (at the most).

Our starter package is £47.40 per year (£3.95 a month) and you would simply change your nameservers in 123-REG to our nameservers something you can do in minutes.

Then on your hosting account you would simply setup prestashop and off you go. We can design and build a prestashop for you but obviously costs depends on your requirements.

I would like a go at designing it myself but would also like help.
As i agreed with another member on this forum, for a slight cost, he would help me with the rough building of the site and 'hold on hand' but he seems to not be replying to my messages or emails atm for some reason.

What can you do for me

Yes thats the kind of thing i would require but probably a little more as i have very little experience with website building.
Although prestoshop looks pretty simple in the demo, just requires a load of time to get it up to scratch etc.

Its best to get it hosted already then you can design it live on the internet and you can test it then. Otherwise your designing and then hoping when you move online its all ok.

Few more things i have to do before im going to get this website online like working out a few more numbers but i may ask you to host it for me
How many other websites do you host and what countries?
Also where are you located?

I couldnt give you a number as to how many we host but its plenty across europe and USA. However ourservers are not oversold meaning on shared hosting there are never more than 20 sites of similar sizes on the same server.

We are located in Dorset.

Have a look at click2connect.co.uk you may find the control panel is too complicated for you as it does allow you a lot of flexibility.
