Help for people starting out in business

If anyone is starting a new business or is in the early stages and you live in West Sussex (not sure if it is available elsewhere), I have just discovered this great service which is available free of charge.

Startup co provides all sorts of business advice including a free mentoring service where they put you in touch with someone who is successful in business (or in the case of the person I have been allocated, is retired but has run a successful business). This person acts as a sort of mentor to you, offering you advice and suggestions on how to be successful in business (and how to avoid some of the pitfalls).

I have just had my first visit and it was extremely helpful (thanks Jim if you are reading this!).

Some chambers of commerce do this as well, called the high growth programme, maybe worth checking to see if your local CoC does it, that was FOC as I remember.
