Hello fellow business minded people!
I'm really not enjoying my job ATM(order processing for a satellite communications network integrator) and not particularly getting along with my MD and have been thinking a lot about starting up my own business. Have a few ideas which I haven't put a massive deal of thought into(though have a little) but obvious problem is always having the disposable cash to start-up.
I'm 21yo kind of daunted by starting my own business as I don't see myself that well-educated and haven't had any significant jobs or leading roles and don't have a great deal of confidence if I'm honest...
However I do feel I have the necessary skills/commitment to make something work as I constantly see businesses and think 'wow they should do this' or 'they could do this better' and also seeing some people who have made successful businesses I believe I am definitely capable!
I have previously played poker for a living and if I lost my job today that is what I would do for the short term. I could post up some graphs as to what I have made in the past but sadly I was about 17 when I first started playing and have probably pissed away £75k or so since(though was living off it so some is living costs over the 2.5 years or so) then

I realise there are some business ideas that can work with low start-up costs but even then I would prob need £10k+. Like I said I've got a few visions(nothing ground-breaking by any means) but just need to get some money saved up as I very much doubt I could get a loan at my age even with a well set out business plan(I'm guessing?).
Anyway looking to soak up as much information as I can on as many sites as I can and from what I've seen on here so far it seems like theres some good questions/answer/content so glad to be a part
