I'd normally do this as an announcement, but announcements don't allow replies or comments and as this is an experiment comments may be useful :).

More than half of you use UKBF on your mobile, and I'm not one of those people. I use a desktop so didn't fully appreciate that a new feature launched with this new site wasn't visible on mobile ... until now. That is the Social feed.

The intention for the Social feed is that it can be used in a similar way you would use Twitter or other social media platforms for; in that you can make an announcement or a statement. The intention is this feed isn't restricted so strict on the moderation rules, but there is a probation period. New members signing up don't have access to this right away until they've passed a probation period in the system. Just to try and avoid spam/abuse.

So, I've drawn you attention to it. You may have missed it, you may have missed some of the announcements in there from me and my colleagues and some media opportunities we've had too.
Some topics are a conversation, that's the forums - but updates, announcements, talking about yourself and such likes - give social a try and let's see if the new feature has some legs :)
