Gift Cards have you tried it?

Was thinking about this the other day. Seems like there are more and more companies out there doing gift cards. Have you tried implementing gift cards into your business plan? Any good/ bad advice out there?

sorry we haven't implemented them but just wanted to let you know as a consumer i think they are a great idea and i do get them for people and get them a lot myself, argument one is it makes things a bit less personal, but to counter you know your going to get it right and it takes the pressure off as they can be used as and when byt the recipient, so i would say always a good idea

We use thank you gifts more than cards. Depends on the value of your average sale I would say. Thank you's can help you get more referrals if they're done in the right way.

If you do decide to do cards, one of my clients sends out a card which has a picture of their gorgeous building on the front and they write a personalised message by hand inside. They send them out for any sale over £5,000.

I think its a great idea! I recently done some business with a nightclub owner who bought a mailing list of people ncluding their birthday month so he could send through a bday card from the nightclub!
Its such a simply thing to do I know but I thought it was such a great idea!

As a consumer I would be very very happy to receive a gift card, its definately going to make me want to come back for more!
