German compliance

Hi All,

I currently have a Uk Ltd company. With a contract offer in Germany. From a Uk company.

I also have a current German Residency Permit and tax number which I was given when working in Germany.

If I take on the German contract how will I be compliant with the tax and immigration authorities.

The money paid for my services will be from a Uk contract company.

In that case, it shouldn't be an issue. The UK company invoices your UK company, and your income is treated in the same way as any other income from your company, and you declare that as part of your income. The fact that the ultimate recipient of the work is a German company is not really your concern - your contract is with the UK company.

I would get advice from a German tax lawyer to be sure though.

That’s kind of what I was thinking but their is the issue of maintaining my German residency, meaning paying German tax etc, if I don’t maintain the visa then I will be working illegally!!

Are you saying that taking on this contract will cause a violation of the conditions of your visa?

You haven't told us anything about the conditions, you just said that you have residency. We don't have enough detail.

Well this is why I’m asking if it is fees-able to do or not. I have a German residency when I was employed in Germany before, and is still valid, so as I am being offered the chance to go back to Germany contracting to the Uk company who’s contract location is in Germany, I am wondering how I keep legal in Germany.
