If you bid for government contracts or do procurement research, this might be useful.

ContractLens is a free searchable database of UK government contract awards. You can:
  • Search and filter 15,000+ awarded contracts by supplier, buyer, sector and value
  • See the full contract history for any supplier or buyer
  • Find contacts within buying organisations
  • Filter by contracts expiring soon to find upcoming bid opportunities
The core search and browsing is completely free. A paid tier called Radar is coming soon with email alerts for expiring contracts, new tenders in your sector, and csv exports.

It's in beta so there will be rough edges, but the core data is solid, sourced from official UK government procurement databases under the Open Government Licence.

Would love feedback from anyone who bids for public sector work, particularly whether the data is useful, what's missing, and what features would make it worth paying for.

Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks

Paul

The big question here is how will yours differ from the many others who have trodden this path?

Some fremium, some hard-sold on dubious promises?
I have not found any others that have trodden down this path. Various websites list government tenders, but this data is already provided already by the government. The same companies have historical databases but you need to pay them for access. ContrctLens is a public historical record of companies that have won uk gov contracts, with details about the contracts. I do not believe anything else like it exists. If it does please share the url :)
