    This is a lifetime argument/disagreement.

If a self employed person or a person living on the road for business has no choice but to eat for convenience

What in the "panels veiw"😀 can be claimed ie
    Ie
A self employed owner tramper/van driver leaves home on a Monday morning runs 2000 miles all week 12 hours a day and has no time to mess around
The driver spends £30 a day on convenience food in service stations

What do you think is acceptable to claim?

Every case needs to be considered separately, if classed as an ‘itinerant worker’ then the subsistence should follow the travel and both be allowable.
I take it their base would be their home and as long as the trips are not considered regular as in the same routine then I do not see a problem with claiming, this would not include the grocery shopping however.

I meant like a regular journey, for example every day they pick up a load from the same place in London drive to Manchester drop it off and drive back.
They would find that boring these boys and girls crave adventure they are a different breed
There is no way I could do it 😀

If they aren't away overnight, what time do they leave home in the morning?
