Flipptree foundation

Hi All my name is mark i am the founder of FlippTree foundation fighting poverty in Asia i spent 5 months visiting my son in Philippines and done some tours around the area while i was there we also done a feeding program for the kids which i thought it was just going to be something small but it turned out we were feeding 200-300 kids it was incredible the kids were so happy.

Then i visited the Captain of the barangay and he took me on a tour of the village their was kids living next to sewers kids are way malnourished and way under weight a lot of the kids either need to go into a life of crime or prostitution so they can get food some might not even make it to there next birthday that how heart felt it was.

If you would like to donate please send myself a message and i will send you details of our donation page.

So myself and my wife who is on the ground in the Philippines helping out we decided we were going to start our own foundation in fight against child poverty we are trying to raise as much money as we can to help fight this cause we have a donation page set-up which you can find right here.

We have teamed up with flipptree auction & marketplace website they are giving away free online stores to help fight the cause also so pls pls no matter how small the donation is every little bit helps these kids have a better life food, shelter, medical support, clean water please dont ignore this we really need to help the kids make a better life with our help if you want to support us in the long terms you can contact us at

Nuno what a sad comment. There is no reason why we shouldn't help communities both at home and abroad.

That's why I have co-founded a charity helping those who are homeless and volunteer for our local food bank as well as supporting those in areas of conflict and poverty around the world.

OP if you want to help children in poverty in the Phillipines why not fundraise for one of the many established charities operating there. Or as your family is based there you could look at working for a not profit there.

Yes, how interesting. However many think that we should help our own first. If that means starting from a higher point, so be it.
it is all part of a larger argument about aid<(whether you want it to be or not). Why should we give aid to India who has a space program but also lots of poverty? They chose how to spend their money, why

Well, bully for you. I don't feel the need to boast about my giving to which charity, or to be part of the proliferation of micro charities which do so much to make the participants feel good.
If that is sad, so be it. I think it is beyond sad, basically naff, to try and condemn anyone's charitable giving strategy by saying or inferring "look at me, look at me! I'm a better human because I do it like this. I've even got my very own charity"
In a world where charitable donations are a finite resource, (which they are), I can quite see the point of trying to help those in your community rather than all the poor, everywhere. I think this a better use of time and resources for givers and for charities, but if you want to be el jefe in your very own charity, for whatever reason, go there.

(BTW there is no virguilla in my screen name).
