Walking away from our Royal Mail Account Manager last week (pre strikes) left me with three nuggets to pass on.
1. The 2nd ballot for RM is all about changes to working conditions including a change to working hours. But this can be acted upon within 6 months so let's hope the Christmas post is not too affected.
2. The RM is seeing fashion postage falling but supplements and health products are growing.
3. We are seeing the same trends already in consumer confidence for obvious reasons. But Alcohol is still stable. I guess we all drink in the good and bad times. Cheers!
