Hi All
I'm normally more of a search and reading type than a posting type but struggling on this occasion to find a great deal of information I feel is based on actual knowledge.
I am interested in expanding my business to have an operating base in an EU country, at the moment I am looking more at Spain or Italy for personal reasons. I lost a lot of business following Brexit and I believe trading from within the EU is a sensible option to investigate. My posting isn't for advice as to whether this is a good idea, but to ask for any experiences of UK people/companies who have experience setting up in either of these countries.
I only have knowledge of UK business elements for consideration, such as taxes, employment, bureaucracy, property etc etc and it would be great to hear others experiences.
The obvious things such as speaking the language and using local experts are a given, it's more real world experience I would like to hear from if possible. I always consider the largest pitfalls are the ones you didn't know about.
