Event Bright - MailChimp

Hey all,

Just a quicky, we just hosted some events on event bright so we have all of those email addresses sitting there. On the event bright form, there is no button to say I wish to receive future emails...

Am I able to just copy the emails over to our MailChimp list on the reason that they have registered interest? Even though they have not checked a box saying they wish to receive it.

Provisionally yes.
Providing the email message would be expected, e.g. you are promoting another event or offering similar products or services to those talked about at that event, you can use "Legitimate Interest" and the "soft opt-in" under the Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations.

Just ensure to state in your email message that you are emailing them because they previously registered interest in an event you ran on EventBright and offering an unsubscribe option.
