Employee tax code change from HMRC - what does it mean?

Hi,

I received HMRC tax code P9 form. It says the code is xxx, and says "Please use this code for tax year to 5 Apr" and the year is 2024. Does HMRC want me to use this code for the period from 06 Apr 2023 to 05 Apr 2024?
