Employed, self-employed or what?

Hey everyone - new here and hoping you can help.

I'm wanting to go it alone and have the opportunity to start making money to finance the business ahead of my final jump in January. To do this, I want to start selling product through an online store and need to start a company to do this - suppliers will only deal with a proper company. The thing is, I'm confused as to how this effects my continuing full time employment if I have to register as self employed to start the business.

Can I be employed and self-employed at the same time?

Yep you can be in full time employment and also registered as self employed
