I cannot use PM on here so I am posting in Feedback. I note that my post says 'Last edited: Matrixx [time]' on my post in Accounts/Finance. Can you inform me what was edited?

I am just concerned that I do give legal advice and my posts are capable of being edited.

Jonathon there is a "Contact Us" form at the bottom of the page, although your PM should work, dont think there is a restriction on mine and I have less posts than you.

I don't think it is a restriction but a technical issue either my end or someone else's

You should be able to PM. Please let me know if it is technical.

As moderators, all the moderators and myself can edit/delete/move anyones posts. This goes part and parcel of moderating a forum - sorry!
We have been known to edit regular spammers ahem members posts to remove excessive URL and links and "me me" from there message and leave the rest intact

Thanks Ozzy - I would be interested to learn what was edited because I did give the original poster constructive advice as always. We are after all spending much time here sharing our expertise

Hello - been in meetings all day

I removed your line basically telling the poster that double posting wasn't necessary. I checked their other post and it hasd a slightly different tack so also removed your post in that thread too that was telling them you had already answered a similar question.

As Ozzy said, phpbb never told people when we did housekeeping on threads.

Rob - many thanks indeed for your explanation because I do try to keep my posts as professional as possible. From reading Ozzy's reply I thought I was edited for self promotion.

There is a facility in the Admin CP to remove the visible audit trail from edited threads.
