Does anyone have info about epages?

Hi. I'm sourcing a complete e-commerce solution for an SME. Having approached several companies and received pitches back, one of the very serious options we're considering uses the epages platform. I'm having trouble finding any objective info about its reliability, performance, scalability as an e-commerce solution. I know that epages is PERL-scripted and runs off Sybase database, but would really like some feedback from any other users, coders etc who've already worked with it. We're looking at using the system to host and develop more than 1 web site over time so its reliability and scalability is really important to us. Any help much appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi,
Although I have not heard of epages, my only comment would be having to rely on a Sybase database. This is not a widely supported database platform, so you may have trouble getting support from different hosting companies. I would look at options that are hosted on either Microsoft SQL server or MySQL.
Perl, although kind of "yesterday" for Ecommerce platforms, is a very reliable language.
