do I have to include T&C's on my website?

Hi everyone...

I run pre-school music classes and am in the proces of having my website redesigned and just wondered if i should include terms and conditions or any kind of legal notice on the site? (sorry if this has been covered before!) :D

I am only using the site to inform people about the classes and venues, prices etc, so I won't be selling anything from the site. I have had had a look at my competitors website (large franchises) and none of them have T&C's on theirs.

Do I need to bother, or is it just something you need to do if you are selling from the site?

If you are using your site as a brochure and not for sales and do not collect any information from visitors or sell from the site direct then the need for legal notices is very limited.

You do need to display your business name and address and if a LTD company then your registered office and company number.

For many people looking at a brochure web site advertising pre school activities they would be much happier taking enquiries further if they saw mention of public liability, CRB checks for staff and volunteers, health and Safety information/data Protection etc. I know I would. Not even so much for the legal issues just to confirm the business was run by those who were aware of the law involved would make me more confident in using the service.
