A)Adam, seriously now you need to grow up. My moderating another forum has nothing to do with over here does it??? No! I don't want power and I don't think I've ever expressed wanting power on any forum I've posted on so why don't you just give it a rest.
There was no reason my post should've been deleted as it was sales, it wasn't nasty etc etc so I was just wondering why...!

B) Nige...cause I do...still don't think a man should win a womans catergory ;)

Firstly understand it was a light hearted comment and any one that uses Shell will know how defensive all moderators get when ever a post comes up asking where their post went.

Secondly I did NOT ask to be a moderator at Shell. In a conversation with Sharon (administrator) I said if they needed someone just to take obvious spam down I would do it if asked as I was often the first to see such posts and sometimes for many hours before a mod came along.

Adam, spam is rarely up for hours that is such a lie and to be honest this isn't about shell is it so no real point bringing it up!

Anyway, I'm not bickering like a school girl with you, I'm here to ask my question which mods I don't mind if you want to pm me your answer.

thanks.

I contributed to the ipod thread yesterday and when I look at it today my post has been removed...I didn't say anything out of order...why would it have been removed??

thanks
rachael

Your post didn't really contribute to the thread and the nature of it was potentially inflammatory and unneccessary which is why I removed it:)

I see. Well, it kind of got cross posted so it probably did look a bit like that - despite being meant in that spirit. However, I would prefer a quick pm explaining that next time rather than it just being removed without my knowledge

thanks

No they don't. The point I was making was Rachael is well aware of the hard work a mod has to do to keep a forum going well as she does it herself.

So her post came across as wrong and it was dealt with. If only the mods had tme to PM everyone whose post was deemed bad.

yes but at the time I wasn't aware of the REASON why my post was deleted. And I do moderate myself but I don't delete individual posts unless they're self promotion so ADAM it's totally different to what I do.

ETA: I wasn't suggesting the mods pm'd everytime they deleted post but maybe they could pm everytime they delete a post that quite frankly didn't need to be deleted. That's just courteous!

Well quite frankly it did need to be deleted.

Any other mod that thinks otherwise can read your post and reinstate it if they believe that I am wrong.............but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.

I will now lock this thread as it may possibly go the same way.

Any attempt to start another thread on this particular subject will automatically be deleted.
