I've always bought the genuine BRITA cartridges for my water filter jug but noticed today that far cheaper compatible non branded versions are available.

Does anyone here buy the compatible ones, are they as good, safe, more economical or is it best to stick with the genuine ones?

Personally, I can't really tell much difference between tap water and filtered water, but wife says she always knows if I don't use filtered

Sainsburys recently had a £10.00 off deal on the Brita ones so I bought loads of them. Other than that I get the Sainsburys compatibles: https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/sainsburys-home-water-filter-cartridges-3pk or Amazon compatibles: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07KJCCLSV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. I do though find they leak the carbon a little more and you need to put in a little grommet thingy if they aren't fully compatible with your jug (we have one of the large Brita jugs). Other than that, yeah, good. Last the same amount of time and do the job really well.
